Jaclyn Ke-Yin Kalkhurst
Born in Hong Kong to an American father who practiced Qi Gong and a Chinese mother from a deeply rooted Chinese household, Jaclyn grew up immersed in both Eastern and Western ways of knowing. Her lived experience of cultural convergence is not only biographical but embodied. Tracing a richly layered ancestral inheritance spanning multiple cultures, she carries within her a constellation of lineages that informs her sensitivity to mythic patterns that move across, rather than belong to, any single tradition.
This early movement between worlds shaped her ability to recognize universal symbolic structures that transcend cultural boundaries. At eighteen, she relocated to the United States, where her passion for creative expression led her to earn a BFA in Stage Management from the University of Southern California.

As Jaclyn’s life unfolded, her interest in the unseen energies of the universe deepened. This desire to engage more profoundly with spirit, both for her own growth and for the benefit of others, guided her toward the healing arts. She pursued master certifications in Usui Reiki, Karuna Reiki, Holy Fire III Reiki, and Sekhem-Khrem, as well as a certification as an EPC Life Coach. Today, Jaclyn combines these skills to facilitate healing and personal transformation through her practice, Reiki With Jaclyn.

Jaclyn's spiritual journey naturally led her to her deep love for mythology, where she discovered parallels between ancient stories and the modern psyche. This interest in the intersection of myth, culture, and the human mind brought her to Pacifica Graduate Institute, where she earned a Masters in Mythology and Depth Psychology. Currently, as a PhD candidate, Jaclyn's research delves into creation and afterlife stories that emerge from darkness and chaos, particularly in primordial myths from the Middle East and Asia, with a special focus on Chinese mythology.

Through her work, Jaclyn is committed to re-engaging humanity with the collective unconscious truth of the cycle of creation and destruction. Her scholarship is driven by a passion to explore how these ancient cycles can illuminate the path to transformation and healing in the modern world.
