A little professional update: since August 24, I’ve been working with the Joseph Campbell Foundation as an Operations Coordinator!

For those who may not be familiar with him, Joseph Campbell was one of the foundational figures in modern comparative mythology, the very field in which I am currently a PhD candidate. He is perhaps best known for The Hero with a Thousand Faces and for The Power of Myth, his celebrated PBS series of conversations with Bill Moyers. His work exploring recurring patterns and themes in myths across cultures also famously influenced George Lucas in the development of Star Wars and its mythic structure.

The Joseph Campbell Foundation works to preserve and share his legacy through his writings, recorded lectures, archives, publications, and ongoing conversations about mythology.

It feels especially meaningful to be working with an organization so closely connected to the field I’ve spent the past several years studying. I’ll be supporting the Foundation’s operations and special projects while continuing my PhD work in mythology and depth psychology at Pacifica.

I’m also continuing my work with Reiki with Jaclyn, my healing and teaching practice that I’ve been running since 2014. I feel very fortunate to be able to continue that work alongside this new chapter with JCF.

Grateful for all the different threads that are coming together right now. ✨
